From babies to pythons, lemons to eggs - here’s a rundown of 10 of the heaviest things in the world!

In January 2003, the heaviest lemon recorded weighed in at 11lb 9.7oz (5.265kg). It was grown in Israel.

The heaviest known snake is a Burmese Python, ironically called ‘Baby,’ who lives at a serpent park in Illinois, USA. She’s 21 years old and weighs 403lb (182.76kg).

The heaviest bird’s egg, laid by an Ostrich in China, weighed 5lb 2oz (2.35kg).

The Andean condors, which are found in the Andes and Peruvian coast, are the heaviest birds of prey. They weigh in at 20-27lb (9-12kg).

A baby believed to be the world’s heaviest was born to an American woman in 1879. The baby boy weighed a staggering 23lb 12oz (10.8kg). Sadly he only survived 11 hours.

The heaviest known hailstones, which were like the size of an egg, weighed 2.25lb (1kg). They appeared during a storm in Bangladesh in 1986 and are believed to have killed 92 people.

The heaviest dog was named in 1999 as being a two-year-old English Mastiff called Kell. She weighed 286.60lb (130kg) and ate 100lb of beef a week.

The famous Statue of Liberty, which weighs 54.31 million lb (24634 tonnes) is officially the world’s heaviest statue.

The heaviest cabbage in the world was recorded in 1989 in Wales. It was grown by a gardener and weighed a massive 124lb (56.24kg).

The heaviest man so far weighed over 100 stone (635kg). When he suffered cardiac problems in 1978, he needed 12 fireman to help him out of his home and onto a ferry in order to get to hospital.

    i think that this is so stupid. people should be able to have some control over their lives. their weight doesn’t have to be everything that they think about. they need to become involved in several different activities to keep their minds off of their eating habits.
