The world’s largest peanut stands 20 feet tall as a monument in Turner County, Georgia.

The first American state to grow peanuts was the eastern state of Virginia.

A 13-year-old boy drew the famous ‘Mr. Peanut’ logo for the “Planters” company in 1916—it was a contest and he took home a whopping $5.

The U.S. produces 1.5 million tons of peanuts per year.
