Caffeine Fact

Varying amounts of caffeine are found in some of our favourite drinks and foods, such as coffee, cola, tea and chocolate, but did you know that:

It can be mildly addictive.
Too much caffeine can cause anxiety and insomnia.
Caffeine removes vital nutrients from the body.
Caffeine over-stimulates the body’s central nervous system and increases the risk of heart and blood pressure problems.
Having large amounts of caffeine if you’re elderly could increase the risk of hip fractures.
Too much caffeine during pregnancy could reduce a baby’s birth weight.
For men, too much caffeine reduces sperm movement.
