· Eating peppermint relieves stress. This fact was published by First for Women magazine.

· The most popular food ordered in restaurants is French fries. They are served with 22% of restaurant meals. Hamburgers come in # 2.

· How many cents out of every dollar you spend on produce goes to the farmer who plants, grows and harvests it? Only 5 cents.

· What did McDonald’s franchise founder sell before he joined ranks with the McDonald brothers? Machines that could make six milkshakes at one time.

· Every hour, 27 million Coca Colas are drank world wide.

· Spilling salt is good luck in Japan. In North America it is considered bad luck and we throw a few grains over our left shoulder to counteract fate.

· Snack food snacks have increased over 233% during the past 20 years. Any idea why an obesity epidemic is raging across the world?

· Though only indirectly related to food, I just had to include this shocker. 20% of Americans have never flossed their teeth. Amazing, isn’t it?

    Wow! That’s a lot of Coke. Mom makes me floss everyday. Wouldn’t those people have bad breath?

    When I was a child we’d never heard of flossing our teeth. Still, I can’t imagine people nowadays not flossing.

    People sure drink a lot of Coke, don’t they? I wonder how Pepsi measures up to that?

    Now I know why produce farmers are not as financially well off as beef farmers. That is really something. 5 cents doesn’t really seem worth the effort.
